Whop works if you sell traders a tool. Courses, AI tools and picks are a lottery.

Traders bring almost half of Whop’s money and bettors bring the most buyers. The one faceless, AI-run play with proof is a chart tool for day traders at $39/month. Realistic: $3–8k/month by month 6. $10k+/month profit is a 5–10% outcome. The test is cheap and has hard stop rules.

01 · Who buys

Mostly men chasing an edge: traders first, bettors second

AnswerThree separate data sets agree. Traders bring the most money (46.6% of modelled revenue) and the most paying members. Sports bettors are a close second by number of buyers, and resellers come third. A third of visits come from the US, 60% of visitors are male, and 25–34 is the largest age band. People shopping for software or AI tools barely exist here.

02 · Odds

Pick a niche where sellers earn, not where listings pile up

AnswerIn ICT/smart-money trading tools, about 1 in 8 listings earns $1k+/month. In AI writing tools it is about 1 in 1,706. Whop as a whole is brutal: 0.22% of listings reach $10k/month.

Your odds by niche: share of listings that earn $1k+/month

Colour = segment (same colours as above). Higher bar = more sellers in that niche actually make money.

Faceless winners sell a machine-made edge with a visible payoff: a level on the chart, a restock alert, a flagged bad clip. They don’t sell “AI”.

04 · The pick

“Session edge” (working name): a chart tool for day traders

OfferA TradingView indicator suite that auto-marks smart-money levels (fair-value gaps, order blocks, liquidity sweeps, session killzones) on NQ, ES, gold and BTC. It also sends alerts and posts a daily AI pre-session note in the Whop chat. Free lite version, then $39/month Pro or $299/year.

Why this one

  • Biggest pool: trading is 46.6% of the money
  • Best odds: ICT/SMC tools 12.9%, technical analysis 7.1% of listings earn $1k+/mo
  • Faceless winners exist at $29–55k/mo
  • Runs on the buyer’s own chart, so we never resell market data
  • Whop hands out TradingView access by itself

Source: Whop docs: TradingView indicator access

What AI does

  • Writes and maintains the Pine Script and alerts
  • Runs the store, pricing, trials and affiliates through the Whop CLI (Claude Code plugin)
  • Makes 9+ chart-replay videos a day and writes the daily session note
  • Answers chat, handles refunds, reports weekly numbers

Source: Whop docs: CLI with Claude Code

What the owner does

  • Once (~4 h): Whop KYC, payout bank, TradingView Premium, phone accounts, approve the offer
  • Daily (3–5 min): add a sound and publish AI drafts (TikTok bans posting bots)
  • Gates: approve the $1k clipping test and the $1k ads test
Hard rule: tool and education, never adviceNo buy/sell calls, no win rates, no “make $X”. Disclaimers on store and videos. That keeps us on the right side of Whop, Meta, TikTok, the FTC and US securities/futures rules. Get a one-time legal read before launch.
05 · How to reach them

Our own AI videos first, affiliates second, paid clipping once a format converts

AnswerTraders live on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts and TradingView (which says it has 100M users). Our own faceless chart videos are the cheapest channel. Affiliates cost nothing up front. Paid clipping and Whop Ads come only after the numbers work.

2 · TradingView free lite script + invite-only Pro

Publishing useful free scripts builds reach where traders already are. The Whop link may only sit in the Premium profile signature, plus up to 10 “HOW-TO” posts per script per year.

3 · Whop affiliates default 30%, we offer 40% / 50% for members

In top trading programs affiliates earn $3.94–18.97 per click, and the median program converts 4.35% of clicks. Affiliates choose by earnings per click, so our own traffic must prove conversion first.

07 · Profit math

What it takes to clear $10k/month profit

AnswerAt $39/month and 12% monthly churn, $10k/month profit needs about 342 paying members. That takes about 41 new paying members a month once things settle, or 54 a month from launch to get there by month 12, at $30 or less each. The base case (45 a month) reaches about $8.5k/month at month 12.

08 · Risks

What can kill it, and when we stop

HighPayout and holds

New accounts can get a rolling reserve (example 10% for 90 days; terms allow up to 100% for 180 days) and a $2,500 cap per checkout link. Dispute rate must stay under 1%, $15 per chargeback.

MediumUkraine specifics

Ukraine is a supported payout country (occupied regions blocked). Payouts arrive in UAH at Whop’s unpublished rate; no Payoneer/Wise; Whop Cards unavailable. No Ukrainian seller reports found — test a payout first.

MediumFOP cap and crypto

FOP group 3 cap is UAH 10.09M/yr ≈ $18.7k/mo gross. USDT received by a FOP is not single-tax income (taxed ~23%). Plan a Georgia/Cyprus entity before scaling.

MediumPlatform rules on AI content

TikTok bans posting automation and demands labels on realistic AI scenes; Instagram stopped recommending repost accounts (Apr 2026); YouTube demonetises mass-produced AI content. Chart replays of our own tool are original content.

MediumRegulators

Sell tools and education only. No trade calls, no win-rate or income claims, clear disclaimers. FTC fake-review rule fines ~$51.7k per violation — never fake testimonials.

MediumCompetition

Trading indicators: 5,998 listings, only 3.1% earn $1k+/mo; strong free scripts on TradingView set a high bar. The wedge must be narrow and visibly better.

MediumChurn

One Whop course seller peaked at 40%/month churn. Consumer monthly plans keep ~17% of buyers after a year. Plan for 10–15%/month and push annual plans.

Source: Whop seller terms · Whop docs: payout countries · Whop docs: blocked regions · Whop docs: account suspensions · TikTok: integrity & authenticity rules · YouTube: inauthentic content policy

Kill criteria measurable, checked by the agent weekly

  • Day 14: fewer than 100k views or zero trials → change hooks/niche
  • Day 60: cost per paying member above first-month net revenue, or lifetime value under 2× that cost
  • Day 90: under $1k net MRR or under 30 paying members
  • Any time: dispute rate 0.75% twice or 1% over 90 days, or a reserve of 25%+
  • Refunds above 10%, or rating under 3.5★ after 20+ reviews
  • Monthly churn above 20% three months in a row
  • A Whop suspension or payout hold longer than 14 days
If the day-90 gate failsStop. Keep the code and the audience, and try play #2 (reseller alerts) on the same accounts and channels.
